PAdES-LTA: will the signature still hold in ten years?

What is Docuflair Sign?

Which signature types are supported?
Docuflair Sign supports all three levels of the eIDAS Regulation: Simple electronic signature (SES), advanced electronic signature (AES) and qualified electronic signature (QES). Choose the appropriate security level for each use case.
Is an electronic signature legally valid?
Yes, electronic signatures via Docuflair Sign are legally valid throughout the EU under the eIDAS Regulation. In particular, the qualified electronic signature (QES) is legally equivalent to a handwritten signature.
Do recipients need an account to sign?
No, recipients do not need their own account. They receive a secure email invitation with a one-time link and can sign immediately via browser or mobile app.
How secure are the documents?
All documents are transmitted with TLS 1.3 and stored with AES-256 encryption. Processing takes place exclusively in certified European data centres. Each signed document receives a cryptographically secured signature certificate.

Free choice of server platform
Windows Server 2019, 2022 and 2025, or Linux — tested on Debian 12 and Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and newer. Further distributions on request. Switching platform later is possible without losing configuration or document repository.
No IIS, no Apache
The web server is part of the application (.NET 10). There is no additional server role to install, harden and patch — which shortens deployment and reduces the attack surface.
Workstations of every kind
The client applications run on Windows, Linux and macOS, the mobile app on iOS and Android. Administration and self-service run in the browser — with no local installation at all.
Virtualised or containerised
Operation on Hyper-V, VMware, Proxmox VE and Citrix, as well as in Docker or Podman containers and in LXC. On Linux each instance runs as its own systemd service.
