Docuflair Access Control supports various authentication methods: card access (optionally with PUK code), PIN code entry (optionally with PUK code), username and password, self-card registration with biometric methods and mobile applications via smartphone apps.
With pull-printing, documents are only printed after successful user authentication. You send the document to the printer, log in at the device with card, PIN code or password, and can then have your documents automatically printed or select from the queue. This prevents confidential documents from being left unattended in the output tray.
Docuflair Access Control integrates seamlessly with existing systems via Active Directory and databases. Users and groups can be automatically synchronised, eliminating the need for duplicate user management. Access permissions are centrally managed and automatically transferred to all devices.
Yes, self-card registration allows users to independently register new cards at the multifunction device. When an unknown card is detected, the system prompts for registration. After logging in with PIN code or username/password, the new card is automatically linked to the user account.
You can define fine-grained print policies by user and group: access to specific devices, permitted functions (printing, scanning, copying), colour/black-and-white restrictions, page limits, time windows, cost centre assignment and automatic deletion of uncollected jobs. These policies can be individually customised and hierarchically inherited.
Docuflair Access Control significantly reduces paper and toner consumption by preventing unnecessary printouts. Since documents are only printed after conscious authentication, no forgotten or unattended printouts occur. Additionally, print policies can automatically enable duplex printing and enforce colour restrictions, enabling further resource savings.
