Are the prices net or gross?
All prices shown are net plus applicable VAT (20% in Austria, 19% in Germany).
Are there any hidden costs?
No. The licence price includes all features of the respective plan. Optional services (installation & configuration, hourly support) are listed separately.
Can I switch between plans?
Yes, an upgrade is possible at any time. The difference is calculated pro-rata. A downgrade is possible at the end of the minimum term.
How does annual billing work?
All prices are shown per month but billed annually. You pay the annual amount at the start of the term. Example: Basic costs €299.00/month, billed as €3,588.00/year.
What does "4 CPU cores" mean?
Processing uses 4 CPU cores plus hyperthreading by default, enabling approximately 200–300 pages/hour of OCR processing. Basic includes 1,000 pages/month (12,000/year). More CPUs (Professional: 8 cores, Enterprise: 16 cores) enable faster, parallel processing with higher page quotas.
Do I need an internet connection?
No internet connection is required after initial setup. You maintain 100% data sovereignty and control over your sensitive documents at all times. All processing takes place locally on your server.
How does contract renewal work?
The software licence renews automatically for 12 months unless cancelled in writing. The notice period is 3 months before the end of the term. This applies to the Basic, Professional, Enterprise and Custom editions.
How does sensitive data detection work?
All editions include static detection with matching against Active Directory and/or dictionaries (e.g. customer lists) that you specify and adjust at any time — maintained via AD synchronization or manual upload (CSV, JSON). In addition, every edition includes an intelligent AI analysis that automatically detects patterns such as names, addresses, phone numbers and emails; Enterprise uses audience-optimized models, Custom additionally larger ones.
Do I need the installation & configuration?
For technically proficient administrators, self-installation is sufficient. We recommend the optional installation & configuration by our technicians (€1,199, included with Custom) for complex environments or when you want to be productive immediately.
Which edition is right for my organization?
Basic (5 users, 1,000 pages/month) suits small teams with regular redaction needs. Professional (10 users, 5,000 pages/month) is designed for organizations with higher volume and advanced features. Enterprise (25 users, 15,000 pages/month) is tailored for public authorities, large law firms and system integrators. Custom offers unlimited users and pages with individual integration and a dedicated SLA.
Is there a money-back guarantee?
Yes — for Basic, Professional and Enterprise: a full refund on return within 7 days or up to 1,000 converted pages, whichever occurs first. The Custom edition is agreed on a project basis and does not include a blanket money-back guarantee.
Are updates included in the price?
Yes, all updates and new features are included for the duration of the licence for all editions (Basic, Professional, Enterprise, Custom).
What happens after the trial period?
Docuflair Redact does not use a traditional trial model. Instead, for Basic, Professional and Enterprise we offer a money-back guarantee of 7 days or up to 1,000 converted pages: you purchase the full version, use it in production, and within that scope receive a complete refund if it does not meet your expectations.
